LITERATI AUTUMN ISSUE IS HERE…. Dear Readers, The autumn issue of Literati Magazine is due on line by Tuesday next week. We are delighted to be hosting the stunning talents of Kate Mosse, Tim Parks, Lance Olsen and Kate Pullinger. This issue has been possible thanks to the brilliant photography of Dominic Bonucelli and the raunchy graphic art of one Ms Molly Crabapple, whose creativity ignited the concept behind this issue of Literati. Based on the idea of Vaudeville to Vogue, the magazine is a playful homage to the art of entertainment. Bonucelli’s masterful deptictions of the artistry of Teatro ZinZanni to his portraiture of the Venetian carnival encapsulated the playful spirit in all of us. Bonucelli is the reason Literati now too has a deck of original playing cards, showcasing his photography in the design of the suits. These are also available on order. Dressup and masks, parades, circus tents and cyberspace are adventures we live through and delight in retelling. No one more qualified, has to be the new detective in town… Al B. Moonlight. Shaped in the classy tradition of Micky Spillane, Al trawls cyberspace, introducing us to a spicy, underworld of intrigue and mayhem. Al B. Moonlight is created by Roger Humes, the technical brain behind Literati Magazine and my creative partner in crime. I have made the editorial exception of publishing his work in the magazine, precisely because it deserves to be there. His storytelling is wickedly engaging. I gave an excerpt booklet to a traveling companion on a flight to New York and he snuggled down within seconds and was a ‘goner’…the giggles were endless and I knew I had a hit on my hands. So join the fun and get to know this disastrously lovable character… he will be betting under your skin before you can yell Jack Sprat! Check out the first of Al’s regular Literati column MOONLIGHT SERENADE. Literati has opened registration for winter online poetry masterclasses series: information is in the magazine as is the registration form and payment facility. PLEASE NOTE: Not all the content is included in the issue for a variety of technical and logistical reasons but we did not want to hold the issue back for longer. As these pieces are added to the magazine, a note will be sent out to the effect. As always, please check for errors and report them to us immediately for correction. Enjoy the show!
